Wetland Function Zoning and Wetland Ecotourism Planning
Wetland,called together with forest and sea,Three Major Global Ecosystems boasts important eco-functions,such as,water source conservation,water purification,water storage to prevent draught,carbon sequestration,climate regulation,and biodiversity maintenance.Therefore,it is also called,Kidney of the Earth.A healthy wetland will not only provide humanity with multiple types of material and culture products,but also play an irreplaceable role in safeguarding national ecological security and coping with global climate change.Therefore,protecting wetlands is of great significance to maintaining ecological balance,improving living conditions and boosting the harmony between man and nature.Given that the wetland is a scarce resource,it is necessary,when it comes to its rational utilization,to conduct reasonable and scientific zoning of it,based on the characteristics of its resource status quo,ecology and environment as well as population and economic development situation of its surrounding areas.Scientific zoning will make it possible to maintain the ecological balance of wetland ecosystem,protect wetland functions and biodiversity and eventually realize the sustainable utilization of resources.
