Design of a Digitalized Testing System for Simple Beam Charpy Impact Testing Machine

  In order to facilitate the recording,displaying and computer statistical analyzing of experimental data,digitalizing modifications were made on the testing system of a simple beam Charpy impact testing machine with an incremental rotary encoder,a Siemens CPU224 PLC and ForceControl Configuration Software.Hardware and software designs were made for the testing system.The improved system can automatically record impact absorbing energy and pendulum angle,real time display and print impact energy diagrams by computer,and it can also output the measure results in EXCEL format which is convenient for data analysis and processing.
