Prediction of tire inflated shape based on pressure function method

  The prediction of tire inflated shape is significant to tire structure design.In this paper,the mathematic-physical equations were established by using pressure function method and then the prediction of tire inflated shape was numerically accomplished.The obtained results agree well with the actual tire shapes,verifying the pressure function method.The present work gives a prediction method in designing futuristic tire shapes and could be applied to the mechanics analysis of inflatable tire and optimization design oftyres.
