Reflections on the Training of Outstanding Engineers

　　The Outstanding Engineer Training Program is a strategic plan for making higher education serve economic development and raising the competitiveness of engineers.To carry out the program successfully,it is necessary to accurately uphold its principles,clearly define the specifications of training,focus on practical social needs,enhance capacity training,strengthen the collaborations between universities and industries,optimize education plans,and reform teaching methods.Only in this way will a large number of highly competent and innovative engineers be trained.
