Experimental Study on Continuous Beams strengthening with BFRP
The continuous basalt fiber reinforced polymer/plastic(BFRP) is a new fibrous composite.Compared with other fiber reinforced polymer/plastic,BFRP has many advantages in ductility,high thermal resistance,corrosion resistance and economic cost.Low cyclic loading tests are conducted on one comparative short column and five RC short columns strengthened with BFRP and CFRP.Degeneration rule of stiffness and bearing capacity,equivalent viscous damping coefficient are analyzed.Energy dissipation ability of specimens are compared.In same condition,short columns strengthened with BFRP and CFRP have similar seismic performance.
