Electrochemical performance of LiFePO4/C used polyaniline as carbon precursor
In this paper,LiFePO4/C was prepared using polyaniline as carbon precursor by solid-state chemical reaction. The samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and constant current charge-discharge cycling test.XRD results indicated LiFePO4 had well-fined olivine type structure and without finding any amorphous phase corresponding to polyainline. The surface area tests showed that the as-prepared had bigger surface area, when the amount of polyaniline up to 12% in the precursor, comparing with the powder prepared using carbon black as carbon source. The prepared powder had the best initial discharge capacity of 141.7mAh/g.However,the cycling capacity retention rate only maintained 92 % over 10 cycles, which may be correlated with bigger surface area of the powder.
