3D modeling and hole making of porous bionic bone structure
To find a simple geometry modeling method for bionic bone structure with short compute time and automate process,the tissue engineering and rapid forming technology was applied in implant design and manufacture for mandibular surgery.The geometric features in lesions area can be reverse engineered with CT datum and be reconstructed with hexahedron grid,where the control nodes and units can be resolved.After geometric operations between hole-making units and reconstruct entity,the bionic bone can be modeled.The hole distribution and porosity density can be designed and controlled as will for high porosity and good connectivity.Using reverse engineering,CAD modeling with controlled nod planning and rapid forming technology,bionic bone can be manufactured in a new way.
