Crystallization Process of CaO-MgO-SiO2 Ceramic Fiber under H2 Folw

  CaO-MgO-SiO2 ceramic fiber is a kind of bio-soluble ceramic fiber in high temperature resistant field.In order to evaluate the properties of fibers under hydrogen atmosphere and probe into the application of fibers in different fields,the crystallization of the mentioned fiber under H2 flow was studied in the present work through DTA,XRD analysis and SEM observation.Evaluated by DTA and kinetic method,a dimensionality of crystal growth,n=1.24,indicates that the crystallization behavior for the researched fiber is governed by the surface crystallization mechanism.The degree of crystallization and weight loss of fibers increased with the elevation of treated temperature,and the morphology of fiber surface presented bubbling,flaw or depression.The increase of Al2O3 content is favorable to the enhancement of resistance on the precipitation of crystals under H2 flow.
