Effect of Molar Ratio of CaO to ZrO2 on Properties of Synthesized Calcium Zirconate
Adopting fused zirconia powders (-0.044mm) and reactive lime powders (-0.044mm) as starting materials, the effect of different molar ratio of CaO to ZrO2 on properties of synthesized CaZrO3 was investigated.Phase composition and microstructure were analyzed by XRD and SEM.The impurity in the starting materials affects the relationship between phase composition and the ratio of CaO to ZrO2.Optimum CaO/ZrO2 ratio is suggested to be 1.1.The reaction of synthetic CaZrO3 is solid-phase reaction, dominated by the diffusion of CaO.
