Preparation of Magnesia Micro-powder in Planetary Ball Mill by Adding Organic-grinding Aid
Magnesia is an excellent raw material for its high refractoriness,slag resistance.But it is difficult to get the magnesia micro-powder because of its easy hydration and agglomeration performances.By means of low and high molecular weight organics selected as grinding aid to improve grinding effect,the magnesia micro-powder in mechanical ball mill was prepared in the paper.The results show that when the addition of grinding aid is 0.12%-0.16%,and the grinding time are 60min,120min and 210min,the particle size of 8μm,5μm and 3μm is gotten respectively.At the same time the hydration resistance of treated magnesia micro-powder is improved greatly more than untreated magnesia micro-powder.The 20-30% of grinding efficiency is increased.
