The Use of Probabilistic Safety Analysis(PSA)in Nuclear Plant Off-Site Emergency Planning
In the process of the nuclear power plant design, construction, and operation, the idea safety first, prevention first must be firmly established and effectively implemented.Accident emergency response and preparedness is a final barrier necessary to reduce potential risks that may arise from nuclear power plant, which must be enhanced. And,Probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) uses a systematic approach to estimate the reliability and risk of a nuclear power plant (NPP).This study introduces the PSA model and its application at first. Then the emergency planning zone and emergency planning are overviewed. At last, the application of PSA to the determination of emergency planning zone and the development of emergency planning is given.
