Group Elevator Scheduling during High-rise Building Evacuation
More and more attentions have been focused on the safety of high-rise buildings.When a high-rise building is on fire,occupants on high floors can hardly get to the lobby within a short period of time.In particular for disabled people,they can hardly use stairs for egress.Since certain elevators are safe to use during evacuation,how to schedule these safe elevators to help occupants evacuate from a building on fire is thus important.In this paper,the Normal Mode and the Evacuation Mode are used together to simply the evacuation traffic pattern.Then a re-optimized model is established and the fire hazard level parameter is introduced to the objective function.In order to solve this NP-hard problem,Genetic Algorithm is used in this paper.Numerical testing results demonstrate that the Evacuation Mode and group elevator scheduling model in this paper are effective in emergency.
