Application of Virtual Reality Technology in Earthquake Disaster Mitigation
(0) VR (Virtual Reality) technology which is based on 3S technology has made significant development.Particularly,some technology and products,which is according to the concept of DE (Digital Earth)and VC (Virtual City),become the trend of digital information technology development.Today,they are important for people lives.This paper summarizes the current research status of VR technology and some development tools,then analyze the prospects about the application of VR technology in the earthquake disaster mitigation research,especially the urban disaster prevention planning,disaster simulation and disaster emergency response.By doing this,some work of earthquake disaster mitigation will become reality,and some theory will be easy to understand for citizen.There will be a new platform,which can transport the information of earthquake,for decision-making department of government,earthquake scientist and masses.It will increase the efficiency of earthquake disaster mitigation work in the future.
