Study on Dynamic Population Vulnerability and Evacuation Simulation in a High Densely Populated Area

  Population vulnerability analysis contains not only long-term research,but also that in one day.In developing emergency response and urban planning strategy for safety,dynamic vulnerability analysis plays an important role.In this paper,taking a block of Beijing for an example,the characteristics of population vulnerability varying in one day was studied based on population distribution.Four vulnerability distribution maps at different period were obtained:night,evening,working time and meal time.These maps directly quantify the vulnerability degree of each period and indicate the population spatial and temporal distribution characteristics.Evacuation simulation was conducted based on the dynamic population vulnerability,the number of evacuees and evacuated population density with respect to evacuation time is obtained.The impact of the number of refuge is also achieved.The results are very important in improving capacity of emergency response as well as public safety.
