Normalized Dispersion Prediction Model for Toxic Release under Variable Wind Conditions
The classical Gaussian plume and puff dispersion models for continuous and instantaneous release respectively are only applicable to constant wind velocity and fixed wind direction.For the unsteady dispersion under variable environmental conditions(wind direction and wind velocity) and various release states,a normalized dispersion prediction model is put forward,which is applicable to multiple changes of wind direction and wind velocity under the conditions of instantaneous,continuous and irregular release.Based on the coordinate transformation,the concentration distribution of a single puff is determined by tracking the trajectory of the puff center which represents puff motion.The concentration field of unsteady dispersion is further obtained by the superposition of continuous puff releases.
