The Application of Multi-baseline DInSAR technology in Monitoring Deformation of Beijing-Tianjin High Speed Railway

Satellite synthetic aperture radar(SAR)technology,in combination with interferometry (InSAR),has the ability to measure topography or ground movement to sub-centimetre accuracy. It is ideally suited to the detection and characterization of movements along linear corridors, such as railway. In this paper,we present an upgrade of traditional InSAR,called Multi-baseline DInSAR,and analyze some key steps in MB-DInSAR processing including selection of high-coherent points, extraction of deformation information. Finally,we used TerraSAR-X interferometrically derived images to monitor the slow ground deformation of Beijing-Tianjin inter-city high speed railway line. The image cover the period from March 2009 to January 2010.The result showed that there was a serious deformation along Jingjin high railway. And it has proven that the effective reduction of labor and cost could be achieved by using this technique on monitoring of ground movement of railway corridors.
