Discussion on Mechanism of Crowd Disaster under External Emergency and Modeling Framework
There is great potential for injuries and fatalities in large-scale crowds, which occur frequently in modem daily life.Though the triggering factors of crowd disaster are complex, they can be classified into two types:one is inherent, such as the deficient crowd management and inadequate estimation of the population;the other is external, which is emergency situation, such as the explosion, fire and rumor.Studies of the mechanism of trample disaster under external emergency, which are essential for the risk assessment of large-scale crowds, are limited comparing with those of crowd dynamics. This paper presents the discussion on the mechanism of trample disaster under external emergency based on the data statistics, with some practical recommendations for critical points. For consideration of the state of mind and information interaction of pedestrian in emergency situation,a framework for simulation model is proposed.
