Development of Functional Nano-fibers Using Electro-spinning Technology
Electro-spinning is a new technology used to produce nano-fibers and it has become a new hot spot in the nanotechnology research field.This paper describes briefly the basic principle of electro-spinning technology used for producing nano-fibers and the electro-spinning devices designed by researchers in recent years,such as single nozzle spinning setup,co-axial electro-spinning setup etc.With the development of nanotechnology,electro-spun nano-fibers are used more widely.Therefore,this paper also focuses on the introduction of electro-spun nano-fiber applications in various fields,such as the filter materials,sensors,composite materials,drug delivery etc..Finally,this paper points out some problems existed currently together with the future research directions and new trends of electro-spinning.
