Thiourea Dioxide as a Reducing Agent for Indigo Dyeing Process
Based on the comparison of sodium hydrosulfite and thiourea dioxide,indigo dyeing process by dipping was studied using the thiourea dioxide as the reducing agent.Factors such as the amount of dye,educing agent,sodium hydroxide,sodium chloride and oxidized time influencing on the colour of the fabric,soaping fastness and the friction fastness were discussed.K/S value of the woven cottons after indigo dye dyeing,the dye liquor reduction potential value were analyzed.The practice feasible dyeing conditions were determined.
