Biogas Production and Utilization in Germany

摘要：

　　This paper gives an overview on the utilization and production pathways of biogas in Germany.The traditional way to produce electricity and heat is absolutely dominant but upgradation and feed in of upgraded biogas (biomethane) into the natural gas grid gets more and more popular.Thus the situation and the reasons for the accelerated development of large scale biogas production and use in Germany are analysed.At the end the paper gives an overview of the challenges for research and development in the technical field of biogas production and utilization in Germany and worldwide.
