Extension of Blind Number and its Application to Calculation of Water Environmental Capacity in Western Chaohu Lake, China
Aiming at the shortage of traditional blind number theory being helpless for fuzzy information,an extended blind number,i.e.universal blind number, was proposed by replacing grey interval values in the existing blind number with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. On the basis of defining the parameters of water environmental system as universal blind numbers,a blind model with universal blind parameters was established for the calculation of water environmental capacity (WEC) in lake.According to the model, not only the possible values of WEC,in the form of fuzzy numbers, but its corresponding faith degree can be determined as well.As a case, the uncertain model established above was utilized to calculate the WEC of the Western Chaohu Lake, and finally obtained the expected value of WEC for CODMn,i.e.164.42 t/d.Study results show that it is feasible and reliable to extend the present blind number theory to fuzzy environment by using trapezoidal fuzzy number.
