The Selected Duckweed for Phosphorus and Nitrogen Removal in the Wetland near the Chaohu Lake
Chaohu Lake blue-green algae outbreak largely depends on the excretion of nitrogen and phosphorus on the surrounding areas of Chaohu. The water of Nanfeihe river,Tangxihe river,Shangpaihe river,Shiwulihe river and other rivers is serious pollution of nitrogen and phosphorus, the water goes into Chaohu lake. The series of Chaohu coast has extensive wetlands, small water plants such as duckweed, which not only has phosphorus and nitrogen removal capacity but also has high nutritional value. It is easily to recycle.Experiments showed that TN and TP steadily reduced with increased processing time.TN and TP removal rates were 67.21% and 78.87% to the raw water with Spirodela polyrrhiza.
