Progress on Remediation of Water Pollution by Using Microbial Fuel Cells

摘要：

　　Microbial fuel cells (MFC) are devices directly converting chemical energy in the organic matter into electricity,which have the advantages of mild reaction conditions,abundant fuel resources and high efficiency.The paper describes the principles and the characteristics of MFC briefly.The research progress on MFC for anode material,cathode material and wastewater treatment in anode and cathode chamber was summarized.At last,the future of MFCs research and application was prospected in this paper.
