Study on EGSB + UASB Treating the Organic Amine Wastewater

  The EGSB and UASB connected were used to treat organic amine wastewater.The first level was EGSB that was fitted with anaerobic activated sludge,and second level was UASB that was equipped with ANAMMOX bacteria.When COD concentration of influent was controlled in 900-1100mg/L,pH was about 7.5,and nitrite nitrogen concentration was controlled in 50-70mg/L,the results showed that the organic amine average degradation rate in first stage was about 42%,COD,total nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen average removal rate in first stage were 79%,19% and 82%,respectively.The organic amine average degradation rate in second stage was 5%,ammonia nitrogen,nitrite nitrogen,COD and total nitrogen average removal rate in second stage were 34%,52%,33% and 18%,respectively.When COD concentration of influent was controlled in the range 400-470mg/L and pH was about 7.5,nitrite nitrogen concentration of effluent in first stage was about 0,removal rotes of organic amine was high,ammonia concentration and organic amine degradation rate of effluent in second stage was increased,total nitrogen removal rate in second stage was decreased.
