Study on Indoor Formaldehyde Purification by Bipolar Corona Discharge

  The purification efficiency of indoor formaldehyde (HCHO) by bipolar corona discharge was studied.This work concludes that the HCHO can be reduced rapidly and efficiently with needle matrix bipolar corona discharge,and the removal rate is closely related with HCHO initial concentration,gas flow rote and discharge strength.On this basis,chemical reaction process of formaldehyde oxidation under corona discharge is discussed.The principles of efficient and rapid reducing HCHO are explained.It is pointed out that the free radicals of corona discharge have important significance to the HCHO oxidation.
