Effect of Different Applied Voltage Gradient on Electrokinetic Remediation of Copper Contaminated Soils
The effect of electrokinetic treatment on the removal of copper contaminated coils under various voltage gradients was investigated. The soil used in the study was sampled from our university. In this study three different voltage gradient (1,2 and 3V/cm)was applied, and the experiments were operated 5d.The results showed that the treatments with different voltage gradients had obvious influence on the elimination rate.Improving voltage gradient from 1v/cm to 2V/cm,the elimination rate of Cu2+ increased 25.35%.But improving voltage gradient from 2V/cm to 3V/cm,the elimination rate of Cu2+ merely increased 5.52%.According to the removal efficieneies and electric energy consumption, the suitable voltage gradient of the treatment was 2V/cm.
