Graphene-TiO2 Composite Sonocatalyst:Ultrasonic assisted-Synthesis and its Sonocatalytic Properties
A series of graphene/TiO2 composite using graphene oxide and TNB as original materials were fabricated by ultrasonic-assisted method. The average size of the TiO2 nanoparticles was controlled at around 10-15nm on the graphene nanosheets without using surfactant, which is attributed to the pyrolysis and condensation of the dissolved TNB into TiO2 by ultrasonic irradiation.A rhodamine B (Rh.B) solution under ultrasonic irradiation was used to determine the catalytic activity.Graphene based TiO2 can enhance the BET surface area and increase the decolorization rote for rhodamine B solution,as the graphene in the composites has a very good contact with the TiO2 nanoparticles.
