Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Artificial Aquatic Weeds for Polluted River Bio-remediation
This paper focuses on the research of artificial aquatic weeds with multi-layer compound structure,which stimulate the shape and characteristic of the natural aquatic weeds,and plan to use as new bio-film carrier for the pollution prevention and bio-remediation in watercourses,rivers,lakes.The effect of three kinds of artificial aquatic weeds consisted of different fibers were studied.The results show that artificial aquatic-weed Ⅰ and aquatic-weed Ⅱ have relatively higher pollutant removal efficiency than aquatic-weed Ⅲ.Using this artificial aquatic weeds for the low concentration wastewater treatment,the average removal rate of CODcr and NH3-N was 50%-60%,75%-82% with the hydraulic retention time 0.6-1 days.
