Intensive Use of Kunming Urban Land at Macro Scale,Yunnan Province

　　The intensive use of urban land is very important to the environmental and economic development of local cities.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the intensive use of Kunming urban land so as to put forward policy suggestions for more intensive urban land use.Firstly,this paper analyzes the experiences of the evaluation index system for intensive use of urban land.In addition,the intensive use of Kunming urban land during the period from 2000 to 2006 is evaluated based on the methods of the principle component analysis and entropy value.The results show that the intensive use of Kunming urban land takes characteristics of low level,although intensive use level increased every year during the period.Finally,the results are discussed carefully,and some countermeasures to improve the intensive use of urban land are put forward.
