Natural Gas Hydrate--The New Green Energy Source for the 21 st Century
The gas hydrate, being as a solid material,is formed from the methane and water under the high-pressure and low-temperature.The recent increased interest in gas hydrates has partly been the result of their potential as an energy source and for their potential role in global climate change.Natural gas hydrates are found worldwide and contain high concentrations of methane gas.The estimates for the amount of methane are comparable to or even greater than conventional natural gas sources and therefore represent an extensive source of untapped energy. This paper talks about what is the gas hydrate, the great meaning and current methods of exploiting natural gas hydrates macroscopically.
