Residential Energy Consumption in Beijing:Analysis of Current Status and Modeling of Energy Species
Residential energy consumption (REC) is one of the main parts of the total energy consumption (TEC) in Beijing. In this study, the current status of Beijing s REC is analyzed, then the main energy sources such as gasoline, coal, electricity, natural gas (NG),heat and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is modeled using statistical data from 1995 to 2007.The main conclusions of this study are:(1) the average annual increase rate of REC is 9.21% and is faster than the TEC s 5.72%.(2) the regression equations of each species of REC is set up and all the equations are significantly correlated except the coal one.(3) showing that economic factors impact the residential energy consumption,if the LS (living space) increases one square meter, the gasoline consumption will increase 5.52 kg,the LPG will increase 1.13 kg,the electricity will increase 48.2 kWh,the NG will increase 4.2321 cu.m,and the heat will increase 7.286 kilo-joule.Also the temperature impacts energy consumption.
