An Integrated Method to Solve RWA Problem in WDM Network Static Planning

  This paper focuses on static or off-line planning on traffic flows carried in WDM network with an integrated method.The method combines the adaptive scheme,auxiliary graph and K-shortest path together.In planning we can dynamically adjust the weight of resources according to the state of networks,avoid using the rare resource actively,and elevate the performances of traffic flows carried overall.We set up auxiliary graph along the K shortest paths to determine the best route and wavelength adaptively,and demonstrate the advantage through simulation comparing the heuristic algorithms proposed previously in the literature.In process of wavelength assignment,we develop a simple method to adjust resource weights according to the linear weight equation.Comparing calculating all the shortest paths between each source-destination node pair in whole auxiliary graph,this method largely reduces the computational time without performance degradation.At last,we propose a new bound on the number of wavelengths required for the simulation.
