Optimal QoS Mapping from the IP Service to the Variable Rate Wireless Network
In order to improve the resource utilization efficiency and guarantee the QoS in IP layer at the same time,the optimal QoS mapping from the IP service to the variable rate wireless link has provoked the great interesting.A novel two-stage optimal mapping strategy based on the queue model is presented in this paper.The first step is to map the category of the IP service to that of the wireless link layer by the minimum resource limitation when the QoS is guaranteed.And the second step is to optimize the bandwidth to the wireless link based on the multiplexed queue to guarantee the minimum error of the packet loss ratio or the delay.The simulation results show that our algorithm consume smaller resource and more quickly converge to the optimal rate for the minimum error of the packet loss ration or delay.
