Polarization Degrees of The Freedom in Multi-polarization MIMO System with Reflector
Multi-polarization Multiple Input and Multiple Output(MIMO) is an antenna transceiver system which consists multiple antenna elements and make full use of the multiple field components of the electromagnetic wave.It can improve the polarization Degrees Of the Freedom(DOF) in the limited space significantly.This paper build an antenna matrix of hexapole as the model of MIMO antennas by HFSS.Then we use the mirror image theory to do the research of the influence of reflector to the antenna matrix instead of researching it straightly and simulate the transmission matrix at different transmit-receive distance with reflector by MATLAB.By this way we verify that MIMO system with reflector provides more rich scattering environment for the signal transmitting,which makes MIMO system works more effectively.In this research,we use Power Independent Dimensionality(PID) to assess the DOF.
