Performance Analysis for Energy Efficiency in Wireless Cooperative Relay Networks
This paper presents a study of the energy efficiency in wireless cooperative relay networks,which operate on amplify and forward mode (AF) with the use of MPSK modulation technology.In the context of a typical wireless cooperative scheme,we define the energy efficiency for the (AF) wireless relay networks.We derive closed form expressions for the energy efficiency and corresponding upper bound,which converge to the same limit in high SNR.Realistic system characteristics and convolutional coding techniques are utilized in our tests,where we compare the derived energy efficiency with the experimental results via simulations,in which several modulation schemes are considered.The tests results show that by using convolutional coding before transmission,the energy efficiency outperforms the one that resultant from the common transmission at high SNR with a salient performance improvement.
