Continuous Tip-less Electrospinning with Rotatory Electrode
Tip-less electrospinning with rotatory electrode and continued supply polymer solution is a new method for massive production of nanofibers.The output of nanofibers can be as much as 8.7 g/h for a round drum electrode (12 cm in length and 60 mm in diameter),and the nanofibers’ diameter less than 500nm.It not only avoids the blockage of spinnerets,but realizes the continuous production of nanofibers by using a reservoir.In this paper,the effect of some key parameters such as solution concentration,applied bias voltage,rotated speed and thickness of solution etc on the diameter of nanofibers are discussed.
