Study on One-Dimensional Movement Model of Maliu Gully Debris Flow
Due to the rainstorm,a large debris flow erupted in Maliu Gully,Longchi County, and Dujiangyan City,on August 13th,2010.The disaster has caused a great loss to people living in the catchment. In this paper, the laboratory model tank experiments are carried out for the special geographical and geological conditions of Maliu Gully. In the experiments, runoff and infiltration regularity are obtained under different rainfall conditions.Based on the conservation of mass and momentum,a movement model of debris flow that takes into account side stream and infiltration is founded. On the use of the programming software ‘Delphi7.0’,the equations can be numerically solved by applying Preissmann four-point linear implicit scheme and the computed results are basically consistent with the experimental data and the field monitoring data. This kind of numerical calculation lends insights into forecasting the debris flows.
