New Design of an Electrode for ECF Jet Micro Cylinder
ECF (electro-conjugate fluid) is a kind of functional fluid which generates a powerful jet flow when a high DC voltage is applied.In this reason,the generated jet is called ECF jet.We have suggested a concept of a micro cylinder driven by ECF jet also suggested a concept of the ECF jet micro cylinder and developed a prototype which is a bidirectional micro hydraulic cylinder for servo system in micro region.In this study,a new design of an electrode for ECF jet micro cylinder is suggested.The suggested new design of electrode for ECF jet generator can generate bidirectional ECF jet and is fabricated by using MEMS technology so that it is possible to be integrated.In this report,a prototype of the suggested new design of electrode was fabricated and its driving test was successfully demonstrated.
