A New Closed-loop Identification Based on Relay Feedback
In this paper,a new identification method,derived from a closed-loop step test and feedback relay,is proposed.The distinctive feature of this proposed method is that this method can identify both stable first-order plus dead-time model (FOPDT) and unstable FOPDT which can approximate most practical industrial processes.A new estimation equation is derived and such a model can be obtained without any iteration.Furthermore,the proposed method has a great robustness when the process has large amounts of measurement noise.The performance of this identification method has been demonstrated through simulation.
