Theoretical Study of LSAWs Propagation Characteristics by Finite Difference Time Domain
Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) is introduced into theoretical study of propagation characteristics of laser generated surface acoustic wave (LSAW),to facilitate complex structure modelling and to further take advantage of its parallel computation for higher computation efficiency.The algorithms convergence is checked by its calculation result of time harmonic field.FDTD computation model for LSAW propagating in structure of isotropic film deposited on Si (100) substrate is established.And the FDTD algorithms correctness and fitness for calculating LSAWs propagation characteristics are verified by fitting the calculated dispersion curve with that obtained in LSAW experiment.
