Phophorus Biogeochemical Cycle Research in Mountainous Ecosystems

Phosphorus (P) plays a great role in mountainous ecosystem development and on some occasions becomes the limitation element.P biogeochemical cycle in mountainous ecosystem decides the bioavailablity and sustainable supply of P so that it is a crucial process needs to be fully understood and described for ecological and environmental preservation.Researches have made great progresses in several aspects of P biogeochemical cycle, such as rock weathering and P releasing,P transformation and bioavailability, interactions between P biological cycle and microbe and plant and model development to stimulate the cycle accurately and reliably. However these researches always are separated and full of argument. It is necessary to integrate all the research aspects and develop a practical model to understand the P biogeochemical cycle and bioavailbility, and to provide reference for ecological and environmental preservation of mountainous ecosystem and lowerland water system.
