Neighborhood Interference of Forest and Grass Ecosystem in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area,China
Neighborhood interference model is often employed to deal with the interference between forest and grass. This paper is an extension of the application of neighborhood interference model being modified to study the interference between forest and grass. The exploration of the neighborhood interference between tripoloid Populus tomentosa and Lolium multiflorum shows that the interference of Lolium multiflorum on tripoloid Populus tomentosa is positive. The primary interference factor is live weight, and the secondary factor is degree of coverage;.The more intense neighborhood interference between Lolium multiflorum and trees, the faster the trees grow. The growth of an individual tree is affected by the numbers, height and coverage of the Lolium multiflorum; the more dense the coverage of the Lolium multiflorum in a certain area, more trees will grow, and the taller and faster the tree will grow,as a result of a greater positive neighborhood interference.
