Study of Corrosion in Ground Gathering Pipeline Networks and Anti-Corrosion Method in Tazhong-1 Gas Field

  Tazhong-1 gas field is one of the major gas sources in “West-East Second-line.Its ground gathering pipeline network,including TZ62,TZ82 and TZ83 well areas,was seriously corroded by the produced fluid from Tazhong-1 gas field,and the pipeline corrosion rate exceeded 1.234 mm per year.The investigation showed that the type of corrosion found in the ground pipeline network in TZ62 and TZ83 was influenced by CO2 and H2S,but H2S corrosion was the major factor (PH2S>6.9×10-5MPa),while the type of corrosion found in the ground pipeline network in TZ82 had moderate CO2 corrosion (0.021MPa≤ PCO2≤0.21MPa).Many literature reviews have proven that the degree of corrosion in ground gathering pipeline network is retarded by adding corrosion inhibitors.However,the industrial corrosion inhibitors can’t satisfy field requirements.Thus,in this paper,the corrosion inhibitors MY-1,HG-1 and MY-2 were synthesized,and their corrosion inhibition efficiencies were investigated and compared with industrial products TH-2B and TH-1C.The results showed that the inhibitor performance of MY-1 was the best (inhibiting rate is 82.8%).Furthermore,complex inhibitor YT-1 mixed with MY-1 and HG-1 was investigated in corrosion environment which simulated the ground gathering pipeline network of the three well areas.The results showed that YT-1 dosage within 150 to 200 mg/L could control the corrosion rate of the ground gathering pipeline network less than 0.076 mm per year in TZ62,TZ82 and TZ83 well areas,and the property of the YT-1 could measure up to the first degree of the standard for corrosion inhibitors.
