Design and Application of Inclined Retaining Wall in Sichuan to East Gas Pipeline Project
Some vertical retaining walls tend to bulge and even be destructed with the increase of active earth pressure,especially under the action of heavy rain.This paper designs a new,mountain-suitable inclined retaining wall that is applied in the geological disasters investigationprevention planning of the Sichuan to East Gas Pipeline Engineering.The designed walled is used to effectively reduce active earth pressure behind the wall,and to guarantee the safe operation of the pipeline.According to the depth of the pipeline,we calculate the wall’s stability and the wall designed force and discuss the height of the wall,taking the highly weathered slope along gas pipeline for example.This paper provides a practical technical support for the construction and safe operation of the Sichuan to East Gas Pipeline Project.
