Development of Pipe Digital Management System for Cigarette Manufactory
There would be kinds of numerous pressure pipes laid in cigarette manufactory.At the same time,huge amounts of pipe information need to be managed efficiently.However,traditional systems didn’t consider the problems of inspection and repairing management for pipes.A digital management system for pressure pipe (PDMS) was designed to meet the inspection and repairing management requirements of a cigarette manufactory.The system included pipes’ basic information management,inspection management and repairing management,to improve the safety management for pressure pipes.The system had two characters.Firstly,it could store the history record of thickness measurement for each pipe,and the trend of thickness change could be observed directly by curve.Secondly,according to the rules of pipe inspection,pipes need to be inspected periodically and production had to be halted while inspecting.Thus,the inspection early-warning was established to make sure the production was in normal operation.The system was applied to a cigarette manufactory,and the results obtained confirm serviceability of the system.It proves its value in managing pressure pipe,and it is easy to apply to other companies with huge numbers of pressure pipes.
