The Study of the Seismic Design Parameters of Long-distance Pipelines

  The seismic design of long-distance pipelines is very important,because the earthquake could lead to serious damages to pipelines and bring secondary disasters or major economic losses.The destruction of the seismic action on the pipelines can be divided into two categories: one is the strong ground motion,the other is the permanent deformation of the ground,including fault moving out of place,liquefaction of sand,landslide and so on,the different destruction reasons would affect the long-distance pipelines in different way,in this paper,the effect was analyzed by giving examples from home and abroad; the impact of the earthquake to pipelines with different seismic design parameters is different as also,the paper carried out the relative study using the finite element knowledge,the seismic design parameters being researched including seismic peak ground acceleration,pipe diameter,pipeline depth and the type of backfill for buried pipelines(soil density,friction coefficient,overburden compaction multiplier),the study acquired the corresponding distribution relationships of the above parameters with pipe stress in earthquake; Finally,the paper raised the seismic design measures for long-distance pipelines combine with the research results,the study of this paper has positive significance for the seismic design of long-distance pipelines.
