Theoretical Study on all Factors Determining or influencing the Accuracy on Position of a Product Installed by Means of HDD.~What Accuracy to Expect?
Utility and other companies are designing projects and define a certain window around the planned bore profile when considering HDD,a window in which the product is supposed to be positioned upon installation.During the presentation each stage of an HDD process will be theoretically evaluated regarding the accuracy on position capabilities and or limitations per stage.Navigation accuracy is off course an important factor,but also the selection of tooling can have its influence on where the product will finally be installed,other factors coming into play are the soil conditions,design of the bore profile and the product specifications.Pre and post installation logging techniques are used to verify the actual position of the product down hole and a small part of the presentation will be focused on that.HDD is an accepted and widely used installation technology; the target of the presentation is to get a better idea on the achievable installation accuracy.
