Study of Risk Analysis for Paralleled Pipelines

  Parallel laying of pipelines is of advantage to hydraulic protection,disaster prevention and space saving.However,it may increase interaction failure risk (one pipeline’s failure influences the other).This paper analyzes the failure probability of two paralleled oil and gas pipelines to be constructed in China and estimates the consequential interaction failure risk of parallel laying.Reasonable suggestions are given by comparing calculating risk with acceptance risk criteria.
