Forward and Accuracy Verification for One-dimensional Transient Electromagnetic Method
Forward of transient electromagnetic method is the basis of the theoretical study of transient electromagnetic prospecting, and the forward accuracy is the key factor of measured data processing and interpretation.Firstly, the calculation formula is derived for the vertical magnetic field of transient electromagnetic method with magnetic dipole source in the layered medium. Then, the vertical magnetic field component in the frequency domain is calculated by the Hankel transform. And then, the magnetic field component is transformed from the frequency domain to the time domain using the G-S transform. Finally, forward simulation is carried out for a typical layered model, and the accuracy of the forward simulation is verified. The simulation results show that the abnormal reaction of the transient electromagnetic method for the low resistance layer is obvious, and the interference of the low resistance shield layer is also evident. Also, the error analysis of the results shows that the forward results are reliable. This has an important role in guiding theoretical research and practical application.
