Feasibility of Data Compression in Full Waveform Inversion Using Image Interpolation Based on Diffusion Tensor
Full waveform inversion is an accurate method to evaluate a velocity model from measured seismic data.It contains a large amount of the subsurface information,so the inversion result has a high resolution.Due to the large amount of the model parameters, the computational cost is usually very high.It is necessary to improve computational efficiency by data-compression techniques. The subspace method can make inversion in the sparse domain;however,it is usually lack of the geological information. In this paper,we use an image interpolation based on the diffusion tensor that contains the feature of the image to reconstruct a dense model from a sparse model and analysis feasibility of data-compression by using this image interpolation method.
